Apollo

Apollo

Apollo is a quarterhorse who was born with congenital cataracts, leaving him blind since he was very young. A family who helps rescue horses from Vacaville, CA reached out to Sunrise when they were overwhelmed with the number of horses they cared for along with the medical attention required for each. Apollo came to Sunrise in July 2020 with his herdmate, Fancy, when he was 6 years old. He adjusted well to his time with us and became bonded with Sonny. Apollo is very sweet and friendly, and amazes visitors with his sense of direction. He is also very inquisitive, often tilting his head to listen when conversations are taking place around him. He is an expert prancer as you can see in the video above!
